A Divine Discovery
A rare idol of young Krishna, locally known as Venna Mudda Gopaludu, was unearthed during excavations at the historic Kondaveedu Fort in 1998. The deity is believed to have originally been installed nearly 500 years ago by the South Indian Emperor Krishnadevaraya. This discovery inspired ISKCON to build a golden Krishna temple at Kondaveedu, reviving the site's spiritual legacy.
